i remember

>> Monday, November 15, 2010

now i realize seeing your name
in my mind i remember you

in the field among dragonflies
little hands weaving dreams
in that little room long gone
you always smelled of the sun

i see you outside the window
catching rain with your hands
you did not turn as i leave
time went without goodbyes

why do summers have to go?
fading even sunsets in pictures
with faces that replaced mine?
you never wrote, i broke a vow

now i realize saying your name again
in my mind and in the many places
of my heart i'll forever remember us

  • I dedicate this little ode to old and older friends I have lost and found again. Thanks for the memories. And here's hoping to making some more with you.

Agree. Old friends are irreplaceable. They're like songs of the past--you don't hear them everyday but when you hear them you get mixed feelings, of sadness for past long gone, and then happiness coz you have them in your memories forever. Swani

I so know what you mean. Thanks for dropping by, old friend :D

I so longed to hear from you again.
I tried all ways to find you, passed by
your place but couldn't remember your exact address. I don't know and i can't understand
what pushes me to look for you... so thanks to
technology, I have finally found you.
Yet, I can't feel the same enthusiasm from you.
Maybe things have changed between us.
I can't understand either why I can't move on
and forget all about you.. I don't know why...
I don't know why... something tells me there is something we either have to continue, or ...
put closure to. (thelight)

Just unbelievably beautiful, Cris!
You've changed the look of your site - loved it before - now it's even better, if that's possible :)

I have lost site of the importance of words and their meanings by being subservient to PR folks that I missed out on what is most important--art, poetry and friendships. Thank you, Cris for again reminding me of the importance of all three.

Sandy

You need not give up anything over the other if you enjoy doing both. Just find the time for each. Balance is the word, I think :D

Hi Cris,

There's something in fuschia and purple that is linked to nostalgia. What a beautiful photo! What a beautiful poem!
